Kannen

​Kannen is from our Elwood x Tiger Lily litter and was the only boy in the bunch. He is co-owned with my dear friend, Mandi, who had been waiting years for the right male to come into her life. From the moment she met him, Kannen carved out a permanent place in her heart.

Together, Kannen and Mandi embarked on their journey into the world of showing. Both new to the experience, they learned and grew side by side—figuring out not only what it meant to show a dog, but also what it meant for Kannen to be a show dog. Their journey wasn’t without challenges, but through patience, dedication, and a lot of heart, they overcame struggles and blossomed into a formidable team.

Kannen is a striking boy with a confident presence and a sweet, loving nature that mirrors his mother, Tiger Lily. He has not only made Mandi’s dreams come true but also continues to make us proud as a wonderful representative of his pedigree. Their partnership is a testament to the special bond between a handler and her dog, built on trust, perseverance, and love.

Noteworthy Accomplishments (by Date):

• 3 months old: Earned Novice Trick Dog and Novice Masters titles with Do More With Your Dogs.
  
• 4 months old: Achieved Intermediate Trick Dog title.
  
• 6 months old: Earned Advanced Trick Dog and Intermediate Trick Dog Masters titles.
  
• August 2025:
  
  • Won Best of Winners at the Fort St. John & District Dog Show under Judges Barbara Heal and Karen Day.
    
  • Won Best of Winners at the Evelyn Kenny Kennel & Obedience Club under Judge Randy Garren.
    
  • Won Best of Winners three times in one weekend at the Alberta Kennel Club, completing his Championship title.
    
  • Earned Select Dog and his first Grand Champion points at the Edmonton Kennel Club under Judge Robert Denis.
    
  • Won Best of Breed at the Cranbrook & District Kennel Club under Judge Terry Gains.
    
• September 2025:
  
  • Won two Best of Opposite and one Select Dog at the Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club.
    
  • Achieved Best of Opposite in 5 out of 6 shows (and Select for the other) at the Lloydminster Kennel & Obedience Club, finishing his Grand Championship.
