Rally-O
Rally-O is a competitive form of obedience, however, it is not as formal as standard obedience. You are allowed to speak and praise your dog while performing a pattern of exercises lay out in the ring by signs on the floor. Prior to the beginning of the run you are given time to walk through the course without your dog so there are no surprises.
In order to receive a title you must obtain a qualifying score on 3 runs, judged by at least 2 different judges. Novice and Intermediate are on leash, higher levels are done off leash. Your run (called a "leg") is marked out of 100 and points are deducted for errors, tight leashes, or failure to perform a sign correctly. |
